About me
My name is Willem Tjerkstra. I was born in Hoorn in the Netherlands in 1968. I have been living in Enschede since 1995.
I started writing stories in 1999. The first story about Sophie appeared in 2001. My first novel, Ellen, appeared in 2007. I will try to get it translated to English as soon as possible.
When I'm not writing I play adventure games on the computer, or I read.
I gave a talk about 'Storytelling in Adventure Games' at work once.
I read a lot of 19th century British literature nowadays. I also listen to music a lot on KZAM, KCRW and Radioio eclectic..
